Signal designed and launched an app to help drivers report potholes on their commute.
Using Google Maps, users could select a location, and via street view, could pinpoint the exact location where they’d seen (or accidentally driven over) a crater in the road. Every day at midnight, the app gathered these reports and delivered them to the in-box of the appropriate local government official.
Signal conceived of this app for itself. We thought it was something that should exist, so we made it and then launched it. The media did the rest.
